Background and history of the company

We are called the “Upflush” experts for a reason. Johan Bouwer, the president and driving force behind Upflush, originally introduced macerating systems to North America in 1987 with the company Sanitary For All Ltd. The name was changed to SFA Saniflo Inc., and eventually split into two companies: one for Saniflo products in Canada and one for the USA. Recently another manufacturer of macerating toilets, Setma Inc., came to North America introducing the WaterGenie product line.

After a successful career, Johan Bouwer left Saniflo and started several other companies:

• Euro Sales Inc. – a marketing company, specializing in introducing a range of new innovative European products to North America. Products such as Wavin’s Neofit pipe liners, Hepvo waterless traps, Wavin rainwater management technology and many other items.
• Euro Consulting – specializing in assistance obtaining certification for Plumbing Codes and Standards, as well as consultations regarding water efficient products. Our engineers have a combined 20 years of writing Codes and Standards, and we are able to guide manufacturers who want to introduce new products to North America.
• UPFLUSH.COM – an Internet based company that sells macerators and other products such as Saniplus and WaterGenie direct to end users. Upflush.com is currently developing another line of heavy-duty commercial macerators that will be sold through the trade only.
